Winter Wonderland (December 2024)

Our new cohort spent five days in London in December 2024.

A visit of the London Docklands Museum, a workshop at the Black Cultural Archives and the discovery of Brixton’s murals invited them to think critically about London’s history.

Thanks to a visit of the Tate Britain, a workshop at Shakespeare’s Globe and a modern and spirited adaptation of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Barbican Centre, they were also able to further their understanding of the great playwright’s work.

They discovered London’s academic scene thanks to an introduction to the School of Oriental and African Studies. This was interspersed with walks through London’s wintery and Christmassy streets, and reflections on its rich architecture and its inhabitants’ habits.

An opportunity, also, to spend time together and get to know each other better!
